Our Sunday school program is divided into several age groups to maximize the meaning for each group. Fellowship, Worship, Mission, Spirituality and Involvement are key ingredients of the School's purpose. Children Sunday SchoolCoordinator: Dale ScurryYouth Sunday School: Coordinator: The Rev. Matthew Henderson Middle School: Meets in lower floor of the Allen Fuqua Center with teachers Jay Weigle and Bridget Ivey. Senior High: Meets downstairs in the Allen Fuqua Center. The teachers are Clay Stallworth and Christian Lemmon. Adult Sunday School ClassesCoordinator: Becky HillAbundant Life Class: Room 227, Leaders: Sid Gates and Gene Norris This class will study the Bible, the Doctrine of the Presbyterian Church, and current issues. Class discussion is part of the lesson. Builders Class: Room 223, Leaders: Kathryn and David McLeod>br/> This class will study the book The Five Love Languages and the book of Genesis. Emmaus Class: Room 226, Leaders: Jane and Jerry Howington This class will study the books of Genesis, Revelation and Ephesians. The class discusses the Shorter Catechism as part of the lesson. This class is a class of mixed ages. Discussion is part of the lesson. Parties will be scheduled periodically during the year. Caritas Class: Room 230, Leader: Woody Belangia The class is for all ages. During the months of September, October, November and the first week in December, the class outline will follow the chapter headings of the first part of Dietrich Von Hildebrand’s 1948 book, Transformation in Christ. It is not at all necessary for you to read the book as we go. The book is a bit academic and difficult in places, but for those who are willing, the reading is well worth the difficulty. Covenant Class: Mary Read room, Leaders: Jeff Brandsma and Carleton Vaughn This class is for any age. The class studies different books in the Bible during the year. |
