The seasons and festivals of the Christian year establish a rhythm for our worship life.

Advent

During the four weeks before Christmas we prepare not only for the coming of Christ 2000 years ago, but for His coming today and His coming at the end of time.

Christmas Eve

We have a family service December 24, at 5:30 p.m. with a Christmas Pageant, and a festival candlelight service at 11 p.m. with Communion.

Ash Wednesday

This service marks the beginning of Lent with confession of sins, optional imposition of ashes and communion

Palm Sunday

The celebration of Jesus' arrival in Jerusalem is expressed in music and a dramatic reading of the passion narrative.

Maundy Thursday

To remember Christ's sacrifice for our sin, this is a dramatic service with music and the partaking of the Last Supper.

Easter

We have identical services at 8:30 and 11 a.m. with full choirs and communion.

Pentecost

Five weeks after Easter we remember the coming of the Holy Spirit after the Resurrection. Communion is served.

Reformation Sunday

On the last Sunday of October we give thanks to God for our Reformation heritage.

All Saints

On the first Sunday of November we give thanks to God for all the saints who have died before us, naming the members of our church who have died within the year, and we have communion.

Thanksgiving Day

In one of the most moving services of the year, members are invited to stand up in the sanctuary and personally share what they are grateful for.
