About Us

"Long ago Isaiah prophesied a time when, waters shall break forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert." (Is 35:6) Jesus fulfilled this ancient prophesy when he told the Samaritan woman at the well, "Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty. The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life." (Jn 4:13-14)

Our vision for Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church is that we will be a fresh oasis for many people in the desert and wilderness regions of their lives. Just as an inviting fountain greets those who enter our church, our vision is that all those who enter our church, or who meet our church members outside our church, will receive some of Jesus' life-giving water, and having received some of this water will come back for more.

We, the members of Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church, welcome you to join us at Christ's fountain, that we may grow together in Christ and become more faithful to Him, and that we might become part of the mighty river which spreads his good news to the world.

Welcome to our Web Site!

Whether you are a resident of Augusta or North Augusta seeking a church family, or a visitor to our church who would like a copy of last Sunday's sermon, or a member of our church seeking information on a church event, or someone who is just checking in to see what is happening at Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church, we are glad you are visiting and hope that this web site will be helpful to you.

If you have time for nothing else during your visit, We hope you will read the full, one-page version of our church's Vision Statement. There is no better introduction to who we are and what we are about. Though we are an established church with a rich heritage of ministry, we have no intention to rest on past achievements. In Isaiah 43:18-19 God says, "Do not remember the former things,
Or consider the things of old.
I am about to do a new thing;
Now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?"

God promises great adventures in the Christian life and we have no intention of being left behind.

We invite you to join us in the Christian adventure. You are always welcome to our worship services, whether at 8:30 a.m. or 11 a.m. on Sunday or at special times. You are always welcome to participate in our educational programs and outreach ministries and you are always welcome to visit us here at our web site.
